Founded in January 2013, 523Rods began as a specialty shop focusing on classic VW and classic cars. In 2019, 523Rods-Paint and Body was introduced to complement its services. Owned and operated by Felipe De Calisto for over 11 years, the Body Shop boasts a team led by a seasoned master body technician and painter with more than 20 years of comprehensive experience in the field. Upholding high workmanship and performance standards, the Body Shop includes skilled technicians. Felipe is a master mechanic with 26 years of expertise, managing both the mechanic and body shops. The Body Shop spans 5000 square feet and is equipped with a heated down draft paint booth, two dedicated heavy sanding and bodywork areas, four combined assembly and bodywork areas, and six vehicle storage spaces. The mechanic shop also occupies 5000 square feet and features four lift bays, four-floor workspace areas, and four vehicle storage areas. The facility additionally offers a gated yard accommodating up to five vehicles and three dedicated parking spaces.
